StereoCiti :: Early Light Ep

StereoCiti :: Early Light EpAfter a short hiatus from releasing & celebrating their 10th release, Mojuba are back with their first EP release of 2009 from a new artist, Stereociti who is a producer/ DJ based in Tokyo. Stereociti has produced a two track EP of the finest deep & classy house music which, if your a fan of the label its just what you’ve come to expect from Mojuba & more.

First track, “Early Light” is a basic deep house cut thats built around a vibrant deep chord progression & a “house” sample vocal which asks you a number of questions which eventually leads to the vocalist telling you that “house music is not yours” & “house music is not for sale”. By now the groove is in full swing and has really come alive, & the introduction of deep synths and warm chords - which float over the deeper chords & run throughout give the track that Mojuba classy feel. The vocal then comes to a end by sampling Eddie Amador’s classic house speech from his smash hit, “House Music”.

The flipside, “Waiting For Your Call” is equally as classy with a well polished finish. Going that little bit deeper with textural atmospherics & tight piano keys, “Waiting For Your Call” glides by with rhythmic flair and originality. Its more laid back than “Early Light” but equally as enjoyable, it makes great home listening & when dropped at the right time on the right dance floor it would be sure to see smiles all round.

After a decent break, while celebrating the 10th release, Mojuba is back with a fresh and exciting new talent. We are speaking about Tokyo resident called Stereociti, a very gifted musician who devoted his heart to the music we love since 1994. His music is self-evidently high quality deep house with a touch of detroit’s spirit! The first two tracks of Sterociti proving his sense for club rocking and touching emotional moments in music!

Till Von Sein :: India In Ihr EP (Agnes Remix)

Till Von Sein :: India In Ihr EP (Agnes Remix)
Here’s the first ep in 2009 with a debut of Till Von Sein on Channels Records.
Big support from Claude Vonstroke, Mike Monday, Shur I Kan and Brothers Vibe to name a few. Two remixes come from Agnes and Martin Zadak Pure deep house music with a total modern twist. Awesome!!!

A1 is an amazing club track with housey samples and rythym. Very groovey modern deephouse shit! B1 made by the one and only house master Agnes is a beautiful deephouse track, hypnotizing from the start till the end. And the biggest hit on the EP B2 India In Ihr… here’s the feedback from Sasse from Moodmusic: “What the fuck.. ? This is most beautiful record i heard in ages..oh god, where does Till get these sounds from .. Real deep house from the finest! Agnes mix rocks too, niceeee ! Guys, I´m all goosebumps here, getting back to god ol days of x-ray records and the alike.. Pure inspiration!“
Till started producing in 2003. He’s style is a fusion of deephouse with modern house sounds. Having his roots in all kinds of Streetculture, in 2005 he teamed up with his old friend Aera(Goldwill), whom he knew from those days back in the nineties. They had their very first release together on Trenton Records in May 2006, which the next year was followed by yet another EP. Soon after that he released his first solo EP’s on Swiss Imprint Morris Audio and also did his first remixes for Mood Music and Dirt Crew Records. These tracks managed to create some buzz and got him a lot of attention and positive feedback in German magazines like De:Bug and Groove, as well as getting into the charts of many well known DJ’s. Since that he had a busy DJ-schedule playing in places like Chicago, Montreal, Rome, London, Moscow, Beirut and Paris.

Milton Jackson :: Ghosts In My Machine

Milton Jackson :: Ghosts In My Machine

Freerange flies in the face of adversity to bring you its 100th release! To celebrate the label has put together a beautiful two-part release showcasing a collection of brand new tracks from some of their regular Freerange producers. Here on Part One you have 3 tracks from Milton Jackson, Square One and Manuel Tur. All 3 have pulled out all the stops to come up with some proper high quality chunky deep electronic house that will definitely be getting plenty of plays from all over the place. Milton kicks off with his devastatingly simple and effective track entitled 'Ghosts In My Machines'. In Freerange's opinion its his strongest track to date and has already been causing tremors from early DJ spins from the Freerange DJs. This is what house is about - stripped back, jacking, raw, simple and rolling grooves with hooky stabs and killer drops. Square Ones 'Twilight' takes things in a more late night, heads down electronic direction with disco drums and deep atmospheric twists and turns. Moody but very funky. Finally, Freeranges boy wonder Manuel Tur turns in an epic beauty entitled 'Boxed Rivers' which sees him drop the pace for an end of night heart wrencher, laden as it is with soaring strings, panning arpeggiations and enveloping sub bass.

House Of House :: Rushing To Paradise

Listen sample here or here

House Of House :: Rushing To Paradise

House Of House is the New York City-based dance music duo of Saheer Umar (SuperFamily) and Olivier "Liv" Spencer (Still Going, DFA). House Of House was formed to inject a grandiose and soul-searing bit of drama onto the dance floor, a lost element that made legends of the great clubs of yesteryear. Influenced by the classic sounds of New York and New Jersey Deep House, seminal Techno outfits like Basic Channel and Underground Resistance and the soulful sounds of Imagination, Womack and Womack and Sade.

This winter House Of House releases their debut 12", Rushing to Paradise (Walkin' These Streets), on Brooklyn-based cult label, Whatever We Want Records (Quiet Village, Map of Africa). Featuring original artwork by artist Eddie Ruscha.

Consortium Muzik Presents Ronnie Ron's Road to Demascus ep

Ronnie Ron is the latest artist to be added to the Consortium Muzik artist roster. His debut for the label titled Road to Damascus includes a deeply thumpin' remix of Strength of a Man by DJ Jalal (featuring Carolyn Victorian and Ovina Gregory) that gives the track a hypnotic touch thanks to the catchy hook and piano line used. Then there are Mondavu and Syrus, two great deep house tracks on a true underground tip, featuring sweet percussion alongside wicked synths and keys that create beautiful melodic vibes.

Koljah :: Antigua (Vidab)

Koljah :: Antigua (Vidab)
Born in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1975, Koljah started out learning drums and classical percussion instruments at the local music-school, and from there went onto play in various jazz, rock and metal projects as well as in classical percussion ensembles and in the orchestra.

However it wasn’t until his first experience of a techno party that he found his true calling in music. Having been blown away by the atmosphere and energy of the monotonic beats, he decided that dance music was his way.

After learning to mix he started putting on parties in his hometown, until he finally moved to Berlin in 2003 and got himself a studio that things really started to happen. From his first release, 'I.L.M.B.I.B./My Room' on Phil e Records in 2005, there has always been a touch of class about his production work that has won him praise from Dj’s around the globe.

His next release saw him get signed to Sushitech, which resulted in the 'LeckerKuchen' EP, and more recently the 'Loops For Work' EP, not to mention his remixes of Mikael Stavöstrand’s 'Housedays', Fusiphorm’s 'Green Chocolate' on Minimood or Oliver Deutschmann’s ‘I Won’t Tell You Why’ on Konsequenz.

In 2007 his friends Stephan Hill and Oliver Deutschmann launched ‘Vidab-records’ with the ‘Fett Cash EP’ produced by Stephan Hill & Koljah who lately got signed the track ‘Nonresponder’ to Ame’s Label ‘Innervisions’.

In early 2008 he released the ‘Coffee Papa EP’ on Vidab and is now working on a new EP and his first Album on Sushitech planned to be out in early 2009. In the beginning focussed on reduced rhythmical Techno tracks he’s now heading to a more “classical” sound somewhere between House Music Techno. Every time with a clear attention to rhythm but on the same way looking to create emotions cause dancing is not about working - it’s about feeling.

Tokyo Black Star :: Black Ships LP

Tokyo Black Star :: Black Ships LP

For deep house music listeners familiar with the lead single from the music album, "Game Over," Black Ships should come as little surprise. The focus here is on worlds of sound that employ analogue synthesizers and warm, rounded drums. It's not exactly chill-out, as there are beats to be had throughout, but it isn't exactly peak-time fodder either. (Although "Caballero" comes close by its end.) The press release puts it thusly: "At once a nonfiction travel diary, and at the same time a supreme fiction of traveling through the world of imagination, Black Ships comes just in time to transport you beyond our fragile planet." Electronic music at its best.

Seth Troxler :: Love Never Sleeps

Seth Troxler :: Love Never Sleeps
Properly prime tunes from Detroit's Seth Troxler for Crosstown Rebels with ace remixes from Adam Marshall and Par Grindvik. Troxler's orignal version of 'Love never sleeps' is a bit of a kille track, sitting in that mid ground betwixt tougher house, and classy techno it's got all the hallmarks of a future classic, which you'll realise when you can't get that wickedly haunting vocal loop out of your head.

Daniel Stefanik :: Reactivity LP

Daniel Stefanik :: Reactivity LP

Daniel Stefanik presents this great new LP 'Reactivity', which is a journey to the core of hitechsoul and techno dub music. Some music tracks are aimed straight at the dancefloor whilst others are for quality headphone time only. Dubbed by some as a future classic already, this LP's variety and rich texture will help it towards that high status. Two versions avaliable, this is the triple disc LP. The extra disc has a bonus 8 minute exclusive that takes this album on an even longer journey.

Filin Brake, Greg Dorban, Eman :: Change The World

Filin Brake, Greg Dorban, Eman :: Change The World

After the success of the Original Mixes by Filin Brake and Greg Dorban with the legendary Eman on vocals, we're back with fresh new remixes of 'Change The World'!

Guy Robin delivers a classy sophisticated groove guarenteed to go down well with all the real heads out there. It oozzes quality and will have you purring away. Next up is Phonic Funk with a real deep clubroom vibe to work those underground dancefloors. Finally, Dolls Combers come back on Reelgroove with a deeeep tech styled groove, but remain true to their musical nature. All mixes are support with an Instrumental Version.

Support on Part 2 is just as BIG as Part 1 with many heavy hitters supporting 'Change The World', including Ralf Gum, Alfred Azzetto, Audiowhores, Le Roi, Roed Svensk, Christian Hornbostel, Redsoul, Panevino, Samir Maslo and Blacksoul to name but a very few...

Argy :: Bottom Heavy (Remake)

Argy :: Bottom Heavy (Remake)

"These Days" was founded in January 2009 by Argy as a platform on which to present his own more personal material and the work of artists, both new and old, that fit his vision of contemporary, soulful club music. The label begins with a three part connecting series of records which remains musically unrestricted by the traditional concepts associated with the common EP. When placed together the records of the trilogy series will complete a puzzle revealing a connective artwork across the three sleeves.

a1 :: argy, alexander ross - see no evil
b2 :: argy feat bajka - upon ourselves
b2 :: argy - bottom heavy

The first part, “Day One” by Argy, showcases three very different tracks, referencing some of his most important influences up til now. Within these pieces he displays the ability to work closely with session musicians and sourced artists to create a more improvised live sound, showing also his talent when structuring song like pieces or even approaching the sensitive idea of making a cover, as in his version of the 1994 classic ‘Bottom Heavy’.

2000 and one (Intacto): “phat, phat, phat!!! wicked new stuff by argy. this is the stuff a play at the moment. realy sexy old skool house flow. i play all 3 trax. thanx for this. ”

AME (Innervisions): “i really like " bottom heavy "!”

Tobi Neumann (Cocoon): “very nice reocrd!! i like both sides very much but "upon ourselves" especially i put this record in my current groove charts. ”

Lil Tony :: Redrum EP (Voyage)

Lil Tony :: Redrum EP (Voyage)
Lil’ Tony, born Toni Rantanen; one third of the up and coming, deep, uncut house music trio Future Beat Investigators; part of the Nuspirit Helsinki crew; one of the magicians behind Flow, Finland’s largest alternative dance music festival; top of the foodchain of DJ’s in Finland; the owner of Porvoonkadun Baari and Siltanen, two of the trendiest bars in Helsinki. All this and he still has time to produce and release three grand EP’s. Cosmic City EP on Versatile, House on Innervision, and lastly one of the illest techno EP’s to be released on Raw Fusion ever, Redrum EP!

With a schedule and background like that you can’t help to wonder how magnificent this man and his music must be. And believe us when we say - you can be sure that his new Redrum EP will smash a giant hole in walls of any club that dares to play this demonical yet warm and electronic house music winner. The Redrum EP is also a tribute to one of the funkiest but also newest entries of venues to the capital of Finland (run by Tony of course). And the tune itself has a tendency to make you bounce around like Busta while grooving you away back-to-the-mid-ninetees-Laurent-Garnier-basslines. The flip tunes are equally strong with references to the old school sound of Chicago where jackin’ house meets techno. You definitely won’t be able to sleep on this one even if you wanted to!

Infosheet:
We are proud to start the version 2.1 of our label with a massive release!

No doubt that the Australian based, Christian Vance, will be one of the most interesting new comers in 2009. His "Tiger Snake" is already a future classic in our books. This track is like an incredible groove machine full of Detroit spirit. Huge damages on the dance floor.

On the remix duties we've got Quarion (Drumpoet) which makes a great deephouse twist with his unique touch! Finally our favorite Amsterdam’s homeboy, Minz, gives us a rolling remix, subtitle basslines and a real groove! Our analog mastering is done by the legendary Oliver Lieb @ LHaudio.
